New Delhi: Expressing concern that nearly 50 per cent of Delhi’s municipal waste is not segregated at source and an equal proportion is only dumped at landfill sites, Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu on Monday directed the MCD to explore piloting the “Indore model” in one civic zone.
Chairing a meeting with Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) officials, Sandhu said the Indore Municipal Corporation model could serve as a successful template for improving waste management in the national capital.
