I wish to highlight the growing stray dog menace in and around the Area Hospital, Golconda. The increasing number of stray dogs has become a serious threat to public safety, especially for children, who are frequently exposed to attacks while walking or playing in the area.
As per information collected from the hospital, approximately 330 dog bite cases are reported every month, of which nearly 100 involve children. These stray dogs are attacking GHMC workers, daily-wage labourers and other residents also, creating fear and causing inconvenience to residents in the locality.
I request the GHMC authorities and the officials concerned to take immediate and effective measures to control the stray dog menace and prevent further attacks, particularly on children.
