A dog has attacked and bitten nearly 40 individuals in Satna, leading to hospital treatment for all victims, according to an official statement on Wednesday. The alarming incident unfolded between the Gahra Nala area and Hospital Chowk, affecting numerous residents.
Dr. Sharad Dubey, a senior hospital official, confirmed that all injured individuals are receiving first aid at Satna District Hospital and have been administered anti-rabies vaccinations to mitigate infection risks. Among those affected was Sunderlal Saket, who was ambushed while buying tea.
Recalling the traumatic experience, Saket shared that the dog attacked several others after him. This incident echoes a recent similar attack in Mhow, Indore, highlighting growing concerns over stray dog-related safety.
